Woodworking has been a part of my family's tradition for 3 generations. My grandfather would build rustic projects in his shop outside Dallas, Oregon while I sat and 'assisted'. He rewarded my hard work with a white plywood vehicle. My dad also let me help him with household projects, such as building a storage shed in Sandy, Oregon. Building things connects me to people and this site archives these projects, lists some items I have for sale, and shares some of my inspirational adventures.
I currently work at Oregon State University as an Instructor for Electrical Engineering courses, such as ECE 111, Digital Logic Design, and Applied Robotics. Teaching woodworking at the OSU Craft Centers lets me enjoy a small class where I can help new woodworkers learn how to safely enjoy the art of woodworking.
